Valgrisenche is one of the wildest valley in Aosta Valley and this Valgrisenche hike was just spectacular. It is full of beautiful paths and trails and we really enjoy the courtesy and the authentic atmosphere of the shelters in this magnificent valley. Our hike in Valgrisenche started at the end of the road and we basically hiked in the ancient trees(Larix Decidua) before to reach the high pastures. The group was really funny and international and a very nice atmosphere among us was part of the beauty of the trek.
We did reach the pass between Valgrisenche and Val di Remhes and than we came back to the Refuge Chalet de l’Epee where a fabulous and abundant dinner was served us before a an hilarious card night. We did than hiked along the balcony path and reached the beautiful lake of San Martino at more than 2700 meters above the sea level. Here we had a refreshing path and than we came back to the Rifugio Bezzi: a big shelter in a glorious landscape. The last day we basically ended up the valley going till the very end of Valgrisenche at the Bassac Derè Pass.
Despite most of the hikers were beginners we did a pretty challenging trek and I am very happy for the trip. It was funny and everyone brought fun and amusement up in the Italian Alps. Here you can find some pictures of this Valgrisenche Hike.
