Hiking in Ecrins National Park

located in French Alps. The Ecrins Massif is really impressive: big rock walls, glaciers and pristine nature. It is still a pretty untouched area where everywhere else big Ski resorts made the mountain less wild and the environment compromised by human presence. Barre des Ecrins with its 4102 meters is southeast of the 4000 meters peak of the Alps.

The hike described is a moderate hike even though to reach the second hut we will need to hike in a pretty rough environment. It is also possible to hike in the same area but with a more challenging hike also changing the number of days. Depending on your age and experience we can tailor-make the hike according to your will.

Ecrins National Park is a pearl in the French Alps

The Ecrins National Park Hike starts from the famous Col de Lautaret. Over here the nearby Col de Galibier and Alpe D'Huez are the settings of the most impressive challenges of the Tour de France , the most famous Cycling race of the World.

The mountains here are great and even though the huts are less cozy than in Italy, you will experience the mountains at their best. High pastures, rocks, view of glaciers and no noise at all rather than marmots whistling. Again, if you want to make it harder it is definitively possible.
