Even though the shelter is only slightly above 1500 meters the hike is fantastic. And the experience certainly far away from your daily routine. From the Cavallone shelter the second day we can reach some peak above 200 meters with marvelous views over the Lake Maggiore. Good food is also guaranteed up in Val Grande National Park, together with an intimate experience.
