A Night in Lodge in the Ligurian Alps

To the north the view takes in the Northwestern Alps. To the east, you can see Cinqueterrre and Tuscany. The West encompasses the French Alps and the south offers a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea and sometimes the Island of Corse, (180 km far away from Liguria). The landscape is rich of contrasts and within few kilometers you switch from touristic villages to wild areas with unique microclimates and endemic species. The frequent weather changes during the day grant a variety of amazing sceneries. Sometimes you will be walking in the snow while people will be swimming in the sea.The landscapes are not the only peculiarity of the place: Monte Beigua is a Unesco Global Geopark thanks to its geological characteristics such as its fossil coral reef. It is also a paradise for naturalists because of its unique flora and fauna and it is suited for birdwatchers for observing bird migration.

Overnight stay in the Ligurian Alps

The overnight stay in the mountain lodge takes you to the very heart of Monte Beigua Unesco Global Geopark in one of the most panoramic places of the Italian Mountains. You have the choice to sleep in a double room if you want more privacy or in a dormitory. You will also have the opportunity to taste fresh homemade traditional dishes. You can reach the Lodge (rifugio) via an easy route walking along the crest of Monte Beigua and enjoying the amazing view on the sea or you can plan a more challenging approach starting from sea level and walking up the south face of the mountain along an impressive, wild and rocky path (a direct 1000 m climb- 3,30 -4,30 hrs). Please note that the cost of the half pension in the Lodge is not included. It is between 40 and 50 euros.
